Barbara Olson, MS, RN, CPPS, FISMP is a Senior Advisor with The Just Culture Company. In this capacity, she supports healthcare clients in planning and sustaining Just Culture as a system of workplace justice. Barbara is a graduate of Emory University and Regis University and began her career as a perinatal nurse. She completed the Institute for Safe Medication Practice's one-year Safe Medication Management Fellowship in 2008. Before joining The Just Culture Company in 2019, Barbara held professional positions with HCA Healthcare as Corporate Director, Patient Safety and LifePoint Health as Vice President, Clinical Improvement & Healthcare Safety. Barbara completed AHA-NPSF’s Comprehensive Patient Safety Leadership Fellowship in 2011-2012. She currently serves on the CBPPS Executive Oversight Committee and has held Certification as a Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) since 2012. She has been a TeamSTEPPS master trainer since 2012.
