New ISMP Website Offers Easier Navigation, Enhanced Features

The Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) has launched an updated, redesigned www.ismp.org that makes it even simpler for visitors to access a wide range of unique educational programs, tools, and guidelines and stay up-to-date on emerging medication safety issues.

Just a few of the many features of the new site are:

  • Easier to navigate layout so users can reach favorite content, alerts and free resources faster. The site is now mobile responsive across all devices, to provide the same rapid access to ISMP content no matter how and where www.ismp.org is viewed.
  • New focus areas that identify timely information related to specific practice interests. By clicking on the “Who We Serve” button on the home page, visitors can find current news, services, and more that are tailored just for them.
  • On-demand education library to help healthcare practitioners stay head of new trends when they do not have the time or resources to attend a live program. By visiting the new library, practitioners can earn CE at their own convenience.

This represents the first phase in ISMP’s upgrade of its websites and technological capabilities. Future enhancements are being planned to continue to improve the ability of healthcare practitioners, consumers, and medication safety officers to access lifesaving safety information.
