ISMP Launches User-Focused Website Improvements

User Accounts Allow Easier Access to Resources

To kick off the new year and celebrate its 25th anniversary, the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) has released several new tools and capabilities on its website, www.ismp.org. The enhanced features provide healthcare practitioners with faster, simpler access to influential resources, and enable healthcare practitioners to obtain key safety information in any setting and on any device.

Some of the features now available on www.ismp.org include:

  • User Accounts. Individuals visiting ISMP’s website can establish a personal account tailored to their needs, to quickly connect them with specific areas of interest.

  • E-Commerce Portal. An upgraded online store enables easy purchase of key resources, including copies of ISMP’s “Do Not Crush” list, books, posters, DVDs, and more.

  • Full Online Publication of ISMP’s Newsletter. The ISMP Medication Safety Alert!® newsletter is now mobile-friendly and accessible to subscribers on any device.

More website upgrades are planned for 2019, including a dynamic drug safety information database and making online reporting to the ISMP National Medication Errors Reporting Program (ISMP MERP) more user-friendly.

To set up a user account that allows you to view and download free ISMP tools, manage publication subscriptions, and gain access to new resources, visit https://www.ismp.org/ismp-user-accounts.
