  • ASHP and ISMP to Create Medication Safety Certification Program
    • The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) are partnering to develop a Medication Safety Certificate Program that is scheduled to launch in spring 2017. This online continuing education (CE) certificate program will be an addition to the ASHP Professional Certificate product line and ISMP's Medication Safety Intensive program.

  • Updated ISMP Guidelines for Safe Preparation of Compounded Sterile Preparations
    • ISMP has just updated the ISMP Guidelines for Safe Preparation of Compounded Sterile Preparations. First published in 2013, the 2016 updates were necessary to address new technologies and safety strategies that will help prevent serious errors.
